Exam policies: Policy/Document Generator
The Exams Office has launched an exams-related 'Policy/Document Generator' - the only online exams policy/document generator tool available in the UK.
The following policies are contained within this self-assessment tool
Please note that policies have been removed from our 'Policy Generator' to be updated for the 2017/18 academic year
Members can also access word templates of all our policies by visiting the Policy templates page of our website.
What does the 'Policy/Document Generator' do?
This tool enables members to create exams-related policies/documents which reflect exams practice in their centre. Exams officers are able to generate accurate and bespoke documents in a matter of minutes, saving valuable time.
These documents are quality assured by an annual review of regulations and an updated version provided each academic year.
By using this tool, members are conducting a self-assessment. and producing quality documents which accurately reflect what happens in their centre.
How does the 'Policy/Document Generator' work?
Policies are loaded onto our server, from which exams officers may be asked to answer a series of questions/statements as 'Yes/Agree' or 'No/Disagree'. There may also be free text boxes to explain arrangements which relate to individual ways of working within a centre.
Responses provided create a bespoke document relevant to the centre. Responses and comments can be changed as many times as required, and the bespoke document regenerated.
Each policy/document is contained on its' own web page with a 'How to use' guide.
Why should I use the 'Policy/Document Generator'?
Apart from saving you time and producing quality documents, this tool helps to ensure that you are producing policies which address JCQ and Ofqual regulations and requirements.
By using this tool, you are conducting a self-assessment.
The Exams Office goes beyond the use of simple policy templates as previously offered by the Department for Education
Which exams-related policies are included in the 'Policy/Document Generator'?
Currently, the following policies/documents are available:
All the above are also provided as Word templates
The Exams Office will continually add policies over time. We will also endeavour to produce policies as requested by our members.
Are these policies JCQ and Ofqual compliant?
The Exams Office produces all policies in line with JCQ and Ofqual regulations and requirements. We have met with JCQ and our awarding body partners to make them aware of this facility. We will endeavour to ensure that all stakeholders are aware that policies produced via our 'Policy/Document Generator' are yearly-reviewed self-assessments.
Further policies/documents will be provided in the generator tool over time.
No other organisation offers such an innovative self-assessment tool
