Dr Challoners High School are looking for an affable, meticulous and customer service-oriented Exams Officer to join our school. This is a particularly rewarding and centrally important post and the main purpose is to lead and manage the complete external examinations process and most elements of internal examinations. The role requires strong communications skills, a high level of accuracy and organisation, computer literacy and the ability to manage expenditure.

The contract is 37 hours/week for 41 weeks (term time) plus 2 weeks, mainly in August.

Chilwell School

Examinations Officer

Closing Date – Wednesday 28th October 2020

Salary – Grade: NJE Grade 5. Actual salary £11,856 – £13,619 per annum


850 hours per year (actual working time to be negotiated to suit seasonal workload)


Chilwell School require an Examinations Officer with excellent communication, interpersonal and organisational skills, a keen eye for detail and accuracy and a high level of proficiency with database management systems and preferably excel / sheets. Experience is preferable but not essential as training will be provided for the right candidate.

This is a flexible part time position but during examination periods the successful candidate will be required to work a minimum of 37 hours per week depending upon need.  You will be required to manage your own time to ensure that essential examination periods are covered.
