Each Autumn, The Exams Office, in partnership with Cambridge OCR, delivers a national programme of training events focused on JCQ regulation changes for the new academic year. These events are designed to build confidence, promote good practice, and reduce risk, ensuring centres are well prepared to meet JCQ requirements.

Who is this training for?
This training is suitable for exams managers/officers and senior leaders with responsibility for exams and assessments. It assumes a working knowledge of the exam process.
Senior leaders are encouraged to attend alongside their exams manager/officer. Attending together provides an opportunity to review regulatory changes collaboratively and consider the impact on roles, responsibilities and centre-level processes.

What will the training cover?
Developed and delivered by experienced subject matter experts from the NAEO and Cambridge OCR, this training will:
- Highlight and explain key JCQ regulation changes for the new academic year
- Consider the implications of these changes for centres and staff responsible for the delivery of exams and assessments
- Provide practical guidance and examples of good practice to support effective management of exams and assessments while ensuring compliance with JCQ regulations
- Include updates from key stakeholders, including Ofqual and the DfE
- Highlight the latest support available from The Exams Office and the NAEO

Cost
Members of The Exams Office and Cambridge OCR centres can access the following discounted delegate rates:
- £275 per delegate (discounted from £295)
- £495 for two delegates from the same centre, with each additional delegate charged at £250
All prices are exclusive of VAT.

Will a certificate be issued?
Once all events have taken place and your attendance at an event confirmed, a CPD certificate of attendance will be sent via email.
Live stream
The Exams Office will offer a live stream of this event, broadcast directly from the training delivered at Wembley Stadium (date TBC).
Members of The Exams Office can join the training remotely via The Exams Office Hub as part of their membership, providing greater flexibility for those unable to attend in person.
The live stream includes a live pause function, allowing viewers to pause and resume the broadcast at any time.
Please note that remote attendees will not be able to participate in activities or submit questions during the live stream.
Following the training, recordings of the live stream will be made available on The Exams Office Hub as a series of topic-specific videos.
The live stream includes a ‘live‑pause’ feature and can be watched again at any time after the event. The live stream will also be made available to all delegates (members?) after the final event as a series of videos relevant to each content area.
Joining the live stream
To access the live stream on the day of the event, please follow the steps below:
- Log in to the The Exams Office Hub
- Navigate to Resources > Training Videos
- Select the Exams Changes category
- Choose Exams Changes 2026/2027
- When prompted, enter the PIN. The PIN will be clearly displayed on the page containing the live stream on the day of the event.

Terms and conditions Â
All members of The Exams Office will have free access to a live stream of this Exam Changes training and the Actions for Autumn and Spring into Summer training as part of their membership. The live stream will also be made available to all delegates after the final event as a series of videos relevant to each content area. Delegates who cancel within 28 days of the event or fail to attend on the day will be directed to this stream/post-event videos and receive course materials via post, but will not receive a refund/credit for a future event.
