A two-part training programme specifically designed for new exams managers/officers and those exams officers requiring a refresher course.
This training is also relevant for senior leaders/line managers who need to acquire a good working knowledge of the examination system.

This partnership enables us to deliver high‑quality training and professional development for exams managers/officers and senior leaders across the country.
Each September/October and February/March, The Exams Office runs a national programme of events designed specifically for new exams managers/officers and senior leaders/line managers. The Actions for Autumn training events support those who are new to the role in planning and preparing for the academic year ahead, whilst the Spring into Summer training help new exams managers/officers prepare for the summer exam series.
Who is this training for and what will it cover?

- Developing confidence to successfully manage a summer exam series
This training also supports senior leaders/line managers in developing their knowledge and understanding of examination processes and supporting contingency and succession planning within their centre.
All events start at 09:00 (registration from 08:15) and finish by 16:00

Cost
Members of The Exams Office and Cambridge OCR centres can access the following delegate discount:
- Delegate rate – £275 per delegate (discounted from £295)
- Two delegates from the same centre – £495 (£250 for all subsequent delegates from the same centre)

This is a full day event with refreshments and lunch included.

Indicative timings for each event are:
- 8.15 onwards: Registration and refreshments
- 9.00 – Welcome and introductions
- 10.30/10.45 – Break
- 12.30/12.45 – Lunch
- 2.30/2.45 – Break
- 3.45/4.00 – Close
From September 2026, The Exams Office will be providing a live stream of this event, broadcasting directly from the training taking place at Wembley Stadium.
Members of The Exams Office will be able to join the event remotely from their centre or any other suitable location.
The live stream will include a live‑pause feature and can be watched again at any time after the event.
The stream will be available via The Exams Office Hub.

Will a certificate be issued for this event?
Yes, after all the events take place and your attendance on the day is confirmed, your CPD certificate of attendance will be sent via email.
What are the terms and conditions for bookings?
All members of The Exams Office will have free access to a live stream of this Exam Changes training and the Actions for Autumn and Spring into Summer training as part of their membership. The live stream will also be made available to all delegates after the final event as a series of videos relevant to each content area. Delegates who cancel within 28 days of the event or fail to attend on the day will be directed to this stream/post-event videos and receive course materials via post, but will not receive a refund/credit for a future event.
Refunds cannot be given if a cancellation is made within 28 days of the event, however, course materials will be sent to delegates. For further information on our cancellation policy/refund process, please see our terms and conditions.
