The Exams Office thanks Michael Turner
The Exams Office have thanked Michael Turner for his services to the exams community following the announcement that he will be leaving his post as Director General of the Joint Council for Qualifications (JCQ) at the end of September.
Jugjit Chima, the founder of The Exams Office, said “Since his appointment, Michael has worked tirelessly to support exams officers and the wider exams community, whilst leading on the development of many initiatives which have improved the exams system. He has developed positive links with organisations such as The Exams Office which, in turn, has created a collaborative and progressive approach to supporting centres in meeting the demands of recent government reforms.
Michael’s vision, leadership qualities and enthusiasm will be sorely missed and hard to replace. However, the JCQ is an established organisation containing some outstanding individuals with a wealth of experience, and I have no doubt that their excellent work will continue under the temporary leadership of Andy Walls. The Exams Office wishes Andy every success in his new role, and will continue to work closely with our colleagues at the JCQ and the awarding bodies in supporting centres and their candidates.”
