The Exams Office provides a free-to-access ‘live’ streams of their new and experienced exams manager/officer and senior leader training for member centres

Live streams and recordings are available exclusively to member centres of The Exams Office through the Training Videos area of the Hub 

Any centre that shares access to the live stream or subsequent recording with non-members will have its membership revoked

Registration is required if you wish to receive a certificate of attendance for the exams manager/officer and senior leader events

You may watch these sessions live or as recordings without registering

Certificates are not available for the invigilator training and registration is not required

Actions for Autumn

  • The content of this training is suitable for new exams managers/officers (who have not completed an academic year or a full exam cycle for a summer series) and senior leaders.
  • This event will be live streamed from Wembley Stadium on 21 October.
  • The live stream (and recording) will be available within the Training Videos area of the Hub and can be paused and restarted at any time.
  • A recording of the session will be available immediately after the event.
  • A pdf of the slideset is not available for this training event.

Exam changes and effective management of exams/assessments

  • The content of this training is suitable for experienced exams managers/officers (who have delivered at least one exams series) and senior leaders.
  • This event will be live streamed from Wembley Stadium on 22 October.

  • A recording of the session will be available immediately after the event.

Invigilator training

  • Registration is not required for this session
  • Certificates are not available for this training
  • This training is being provided for exams officers to utilise the content when training their new invigilators.
  • This event will be live streamed from Wembley Stadium on 22 October from 4.30pm to 6pm.
  • The following areas will be covered during this session:
    • The role of an invigilator
    • The examination room
    • Examination materials
    • Identifying candidates
    • Question papers, stationery and other equipment
    • Starting the examination
    • During the examination
    • Supervising candidates
    • Malpractice
    • Emergency evacuation of the examination room
    • Exam regulation changes for the current academic year

 

Timings

  • The live stream for both exams officer events will begin at 8.45 am. The session will begin at 9am.
  • The live stream for the invigilator training will begin at 4.25pm. The session will begin at 4.30pm.
  • The live stream can be paused and restarted at any time.

 

Recordings

  • A recording of all sessions will be available immediately they have ended.
  • Members of The Exams Office can view this training at any time via the Training Videos area of the Hub.

 

Certificate of attendance

Certificates of attendance are only available if you register for the event. Certificates will be sent by email by the end of October.

 

Cost

The live stream and recording can be viewed by staff at member centres at no cost as part of their membership to The Exams Office.

 

Event information

The exams manager/officer and senior leader training will be delivered by:

  • Jugjit Chima (Chief Executive Officer, National Association of Examinations Officers)
  • Alison Leather (Cambridge OCR awarding body)

Jugjit will deliver the invigilator training.
